Victorian winners shine at Resilient Australia Awards 2024

The national winners of the Resilient Australia Awards (RAA) were announced on Wednesday 20 November 2024 at a ceremony hosted by the Australian Institute of Disaster Resilience (AIDR) at Old Parliament House in Canberra. 

Congratulations to Victoria’s 2 national award winners:

  • A2B Personnel, who received the Business National Award for ‘Cultural Healing and Aboriginal Participation for October 2022 Clean Up Victoria’.
  • Merri-bek City Council, Amble Studios and Goodmorningbeautiful who won the Local Government National Award for ‘The Adaptation Game – building climate resilience in Merri-bek’.

A special mention goes to Women’s Health Loddon Mallee, awarded a Highly Commended Community National Award for their ‘Women Rising: Empowering Flood Recovery’ initiative.

The Resilient Australia Awards celebrate projects that strengthen community resilience to disasters and emergencies. State and territory winners are considered for national recognition, with the awards proudly supported by the Australian Government in partnership with AIDR and local jurisdictions.

Emergency Management Victoria hosted the Victorian ceremony earlier this year on Thursday 12 September 2024.
